Landmark Community Theatre (LCT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated toenriching the cultural landscape of Thomaston, Connecticut, and its surroundingcommunities. Operating within the historic Thomaston Opera House, LCT offers a platformwhere individuals of all ages can produce, participate in, and enjoy the performing arts. Ourmission extends beyond entertainment; we strive to educate, inspire, and preserve the richtheatrical heritage of our region.
Built in 1884, the Thomaston Opera House is a cultural treasure and a cornerstone of ourtown’s heritage. For over a century, it has served as a gathering place for artistic expression,civic pride, and community connection. At LCT, we are powered by the people. Ourperformances are brought to life by a diverse community of volunteers, performers, andtheater professionals who share a passion for the arts.
We believe in fostering a lifelong love of the arts. Through youth programming, educationalworkshops, and hands-on learning opportunities, LCT engages the next generation ofperformers and theater lovers. Our outreach efforts ensure that access to creativeopportunities is inclusive and accessible to a wide range of individuals.
